Kalpataru Group or Limited presence in Mumbai gained roots in 1969 when Mofatraj P. Munot, its founder, began with just one project in the city and by 1976, their tower Kalpataru Kshitij was the Mumbai's tallest residential building, a record it held for 25 years. A new apartment format, the 1.5 bedroom model, was introduced by the developer with the upcoming project Srishti in 1983, a format which is currently a common feature of the housing market in India. Today, the company is one of the most prolific developers in the Mumbai/Thane-location with over 100 housing, commercial and mixed-use projects completed and an expanding presence in Pune, Hyderabad, Noida and the rest of India, under Managing Director, Parag M. Munot.
Its office building at Kalpataru Synergy in Santacruz East, Mumbai is located Opposite Grand Hyatt. It also brings Kalpataru Horizon in Worli, Kalpataru Crest in Bhandup to the fold, where they share the status of a landmark residential development along with its flagship Kalpataru Paramount township in Thane. The group started and is still continuing the trend of setting key design objectives followed by a consistent geographic expansion.
